Want to know how to throw the BEST #LFW event? Then you need to hit up our #ShopcadeLFW pop up and see how it’s done 😉 Today, after months of planning, we threw our doors open to the public and wow, what a reaction from you, our lovely users!

You came in your droves, posted tonnes of pics on our app, wrote on our wall guest book, and sampled sweet treats from the likes of Lola’s Cupcakes and Exquiste Sugar Tables.

We had a hoot on Day 1 with brands like Gemma Goldstone, High Spirit and Beauty Boulevard in attendance (Thanks for the purple lips FYI, guys!) and tomorrow will be just as awesome, with our LFW closing party, featuring a set from, wait for it… Rough Copy! *squeal!*

In all the excitement, we almost forgot the shows… ALMOST! Don’t worry, we still made time to head to Somerset House and present you with the highlights of Day 2, because A) we are clearly awesome at multitasking and B) We like you. So here you have it, Day 2’s highlights…

SIBLING: Big bows ruled supreme on the #LFW runway yesterday, alongside sequin dresses and fuzzy jumpers in a collection which was fun and retro- hello Desperately Seeking Susan. We loved how youthful and playful the range was; mini skirts and crop tops aplenty, but the prints also had a grown up edge to them as well.

Who made the FROW? Abbey Clancy & Daisy Lowe

House of Holland: If last season was all about ‘debauched debutantes; then this was the season of ‘plaster casters’ as hashtagged by all the celebs in attendance! A homage to the 70s, the collection focused heavily on embroidery and psychedelic prints giving a nod to the hippy era perfectly. The slogans were still there, although less obvious than last season and instead plastered on clutch bags emblazoned with the word ‘TRICKS’. Another triumph, Mr Holland.

Who made the FROW? Where do we begin?! Alexa Chung, Pixie Geldof, Rita Ora & Nicola Roberts for starters!

KTZ: A late night appointment with KTZ and well worth the wait! Beautifully structured pieces flowed down the catwalk in the main colour palette of black, white and gold. Eastern and Mediterranean influences played a big part in the collection; printed cameos and Chinese lantern hats gave the pieces real grown up and accomplished feel compared to previous seasons.

Who made the FROW?: Us! And erm… Paloma Faith, Zandra Rhodes

Stay tuned for more #ShopcadeLFW gossip from tomorrow’s day event and VIP party!

The Goss Special: British Fashion Awards Style

Rita Ora | Instagram

Where would you find Kate Moss, Alexa Chung, Pixie Geldof and Rita Ora together at the same time? We’ll tell you where… at the style event of the season of course, the British Fashion Awards!

As anticipated Kate Moss was the woman of the hour, smooching Mr Harry Styles (nothing untoward, just a quick peck!) and posing up a storm with the gorgeous Rita Ora on the red carpet.

Mossy rocked a Grecian style leather mini dress, sky high heels and a white fur coat to wow the fashion crowd, whilst Rita (recently cast as Christian Grey’s sister in Fifty Shades!) went all Marilyn Monroe on us with quaffed peroxide hair and a corseted Vivienne Westwood number to wow the paps.

The Goss: Mulberry Cancels LFW Catwalk Show!

Mulberry / Instagram

Mulberry Cancels LFW Catwalk Show: OMG! Cancel everything we have major news…. Mulberry won’t be showing at LFW in Feb next year. We know we’re as devastated as you are! According to sources the fashion house will be taking a back seat and not participating in the catwalk show as is the norm come Feb, but will still be involved in LFW in some shape or form. We’ve come to expect nothing short of wonderland from Mulberry shows over the past few years, held in Claridges and attended by the hottest fashionistas and celebs. The news comes after Creative Director Emma Hill stepped down a few months ago, with the brand yet to appoint her successor. Sob!

We Heart Sports Luxe: Forget chavvy tracksuits and dodgy trainers, sportswear has gone luxe this season with some gorgeous and we mean gorgeous stylish separates. Thank Cara Delevingne, Rita Ora and Rihanna for making beanies, slouchy sweats and silk bombers the height of fash right now.

Phlo Finister for River Island: River Island are on fire at the moment! No sooner do they top off another successful celeb collab with Rihanna, do they sign US Singer/Songwriter Phlo Finister to front their Christmas Chelsea Girl collection. Full of bubblegum pink knits and accessories, plus some cute check skirts and knee high boots, this is a range you need to shop NOW!

And Finally…

blog.image-laura.bubble-251113-ukFashion Ed’s pick of the day: Yesterday it was novelty, today it’s a party pick. Everyone knows how important the clutch is to completing an outfit and this little holographic clutch from New Look is perfect. So on trend it hurts, shop now for a style steal!

The Goss: Katy Perry Roars on X Factor!

Katy Perry Roars back to life: Oh Katy, how we love you and your funny fashion ways. We don’t know many people who could pull off animal ears, fishnets and a tiger corset and still look gorgeous, but the lovely Katy P managed it on last night’s storming X Factor performance. Dancing on a podium surrounded by lovely fit men… some girls have it SO easy. Earn your fashion stripes like Katy by shopping our hot list of animal print fashion.

Shelley Smith Booted off X Factor: Poor Sharon. Two weeks into the live shows and two acts gone! Still we’re chuffed that the Kingsland Road boy band hotties are still in the running. Not even smothering Louis Walsh with kisses (big LOL moment) could save Shazza’s act from the axe. Roll on next week!

Cara Delevingne Goes Pop: Not content with being the model of the moment, walking for every major label during fashion month and counting Rihanna and Rita Ora as besties, now Queen Cara has apparently decided to launch a music career too. This comes fresh on the back of claims she is to ditch modelling for good and make the transition into acting. Busy lady!

Rita Ora vs. Dame Helen: Well here’s a fash off we never thought we’d see! Bling babe of the moment Rita Orla squaring off with the fashion dame herself, Dame Helen in a Dolce & Gabbana red lacy number. Although Rita wore it first, word on the web is (whisper it) is that Dame Helen wore is best! Shock horror! What do you think?
