Kim Kardashian gets engaged!

Kim Kardashian Kanye West

Hold the phone… Kimye (That’s Kim Kardashian and Kanye West to those of you who aren’t down with the mash up lingo) have only gone and got themselves betrothed. Yes, as in engaged!

Although it has been on the cards for a while ever since Kim gave birth to the couple’s daughter North (we know, North West LOL) earlier this year, Shopcade have been waiting for the official announcement.

And what an announcement it was! Kim and her pals took to Instagram yesterday to reveal her- there really is no other word for it- ENORMOUS rock as more details started to emerge about the proposal.

Now given this is Kanye West we’re talking about here, it’s no surprise he went to town, but even we were a little bit in awe of the full epic scale of his proposal.

The Gold Digger star hired out a baseball pitch and orchestra especially for the occasion and went down on bended knee in front of all Kim’s family and friends on her birthday. All together now, awww!

Looking gorgeous in a little (£4k ouch!) Valentino paisley number, Kim beamed as she posed for piccies on the pitch with some champers.

Since becoming a baby momma this summer we’ve been hearting Kim’s style transformation. Gone are the unflattering frumpy clothes and in its place are amazing bodycon dresses, lashings of leather and hot heels.

No word yet on the wedding details, but if it’s anything like her first nuptials we can expect lots of white, probably some doves and a fair ‘ole bit of bling.

So, love them or loathe them, Kimye (see it’s catching on) are set to be THE couple to watch for 2014. Royal wedding? Pah, what Royal wedding?!

Step into Spring with shoes by Stuart Weitzman

Put a little spring in your step with some fabulous looks from Stuart Weitzman.

This month Shopcade has partnered with the brand to offer a chance to win a $200 gift card to get your feet moving in some of the hottest looks.

American designer Stuart Weitzman has been rocking the walkways and runways since he started designing shoes in the 1960’s. Now his designs are world renowned and worn by some of the most fabulous people including brand spokesmodel Kate Moss and Beyonce on her “Mrs. Carter” world tour this summer.

Though Weitzman’s shoes are worn by some of the biggest supermodels and celebrities you don’t have to be one to wear one of his spring looks. All it takes is a desire for style!

For Spring and Summer 2013 Weitzman has designed a line of shoes to bring you back to nature. The looks feature some classic shapes like oxfords, thong sandals, wedges, and chunky heels made of materials straight from the earth.

The twine, cork, and wood looks are easy to wear all season. The twine oxfords would look great paired with some cuffed skinny jeans or slouchy jean crops! The lightness of the woven twine looks great with pale colors or white and easy fabrics with a lot of movement like sundresses.

The natural sandals are super versatile and would be a great replacement for pairs made of thick plastic or leather.

The natural line looks great with an easy style: jeans, casual dresses and other everyday wear. Wear these when you are out running errands in the sunshine or playing horseshoes at a summer BBQ.

For the Spring and Summer season Weitzman has also launched a line of deliciously dazzling metallic looks. Whether you choose a classic gold or silver strappy look or a sandal in a pop of color a little shine goes a long way.

Metallic looks are more versatile than many think with golds, silvers, pewters, bronzes, and brass tones going with just about everything; like jewelry.

Weitzman looks “Metalmania” and “Pantheon” would go great with looks like this coral dress by Nanette Lepore and this white shirt-dress by Halston Heritage.[/caption]

A metallic sandal looks great paired casually with jeans or a beachy maxi dress but can also be worn when you hit the town or attend an event.

Think of a metallic sandal as jewelry. A silver sandal is like a silver necklace – it can complement any color, fabric, or print without having to match it. Metallic shoes are great for those outfits that you can never find shoes for like navy and white. An investment your wardrobe will thank you for!
