It’s called ‘Mad Monday’ for a reason on the LFW schedule and yesterday it more than lived up to its name! With power house Burberry the highlight on the show schedule, shows from GILES, Christopher Kane and Erdem still proved a huge hit with a slew of celebs in attendance.

Issa, Peter Pilotto and Michael Van Der Ham also get an honorable mention too for pulling out all the stops, but as the spotlight prepares to shift to Milan on Wednesday, here’s our London Fashion Week Day 4 highlights…

Burberry: AW14 was all about the blanket cape (now flooding the high street) so all eyes were on Burberry to see what would be the must- have for next season following this epic success. The answer? the humble denim jacket. Past reincarnations from Christopher Bailey have included the aviator, the trench and the biker jacket, so it was only a matter of time before the signature denim jacket got a makeover. Bailey’s version came in a deep indigo colour, complete with sheepskin trimmings edged on the collar and hem in various different cuts, to flatter and suit all figures. A triumph once more, this will be EVERYWHERE come Spring 2015.

Who made the FROW? Jamie Campbell- Bower, Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne & Paloma Faith (Walking- Suki Waterhouse and Jourdan Dunn)

Erdem: The collections are always so dreamy and fanciful, you expect to be taken into another world every season and once again he did not disappoint. Gothic sheer florals, pastels in lemon and lime and exotic prints, which left you with the feeling of being in the catwalk jungle; everything was impossibly beautiful and flawless; a symbol of runway life itself.

Who made the FROW? Alexa Chung, Pixie Geldof and Daisy Lowe

GILES: The backstage passes featured pictures of The Jungle Book, the invites came in the form of a foam claw and the music that played during the show? exotic birds! Welcome to the wild with GILES and his disco jungle; a fabulously loud and OTT celebration for Spring.

Who made the FROW? Daisy Lowe and Jaime Winstone

Get Knitted with National Wool Week!

The chill factor has shot up an alarming amount this week, so really there is no better time to celebrate Wool Week… an excuse if ever there was one to get all snug with your winter woollies.

We’re embracing the national event, which kicked off earlier this week as it celebrates all things woolly in a good cause.

Cosy knitwear, cute beanies, gloves and scarves, and that’s before you factor in some seriously desirable things for the home (woolly blankets on a chilly eve? Yes pls!) What’s not to love?!

The high street have totally got in on the act and embraced this fab campaign as well with retailers holding live knitting sessions (seriously, it’s cool. Daisy Lowe launched it. Nuff said) and producing some AMAZING woollen wonders.

We’re all about statement sweaters at the moment. From Bats, cats and all things spooky for Halloween to some Christmas novelty cuties making their way onto the rails. There has never been a better time to shop that one of a kind statement, so get in there quick before they all sell out.

If jumpers aren’t doing it for you, think cute tartan woollen kilts in a variety of colours or snap up a snood (or scarf, you know your choice) to fight off the winter chill.

Personally we’re all about finding the perfect winter coat this season, as there has never been so much variety. Topshop have the pop colour woollen wonders, Zara have mastered military, ASOS have the dreamy pink number that everyone is after and New Look is the queen of the duffle coat.

Whatever your preference, we’ve got you covered.  Check out our fab curator, Laura Seed’s Nice Knits list to celebrate Wool Week and keep cosy in style.
