Fashion Union - chloe Millard

Chloe Millward is Fashion Union‘s fashion buyer so who better to be part of the Style Council, scouring the Shopcade app for the most stylish looks! Find out below what floats her style boat and what she can’t live without below!!

Do you look for your trends straight from the catwalk or elsewhere?

I look for trends via WGSN & catwalks firstly, the season prior for work but personally – blogs and Instagram are a great, easy platform to follow bloggers, stylists & designers all around the world on.

What trends, if any are you loving this season?

I’m feeling all 90’s this season so I’m loving the ‘high school dropout’ trend by day with my jumpsuits & oversize bombers and shoe boots, it’s such an easy comfy wear yet you still look sleek.

I love the ‘take me to the church trend’ by night because I like the sleek simplistic looks. I’m obsessed with bandaging & straps, lace, lots of black but with strong hair and dramatic smokey gothic make-up.

What’s on your shopping list this season?

This season a sleek coat is on my wish list – I fancy something tailored this year easy to take from day time at work to after work drinks. There’s some gorgeous co-ordinate sets and chunky cardi’s on my wish list to add to my wardrobe from Fashion Union to!

What do you think is the thing that makes people’s style really stand out?

I think it’s the uniqueness of how people put their outfits together not necessarily the individual items. Two people could wear the same top in a completely different way. I think style is the overall look – not just the clothing, it’s the hair and make-up too.

London Fashion Week Final Day Highights

We’re gutted that London Fashion Week is over for another season; SS15 was a pretty strong showing with the likes of Burberry, House of Holland and Mary Katrantzou all presenting stunning collections.

As the fash pack head to Milan for another week of spectacular shows, here’s our take on the final day of the catwalk offering here in London.

Anya Hindmarch: Last season she gave us bags emblazoned with Tony the Tiger and DAZ washing powder logos, which became cult classics for AW14, so what would be in store for us this season? Well another fun ride in effect! Quite literally as it turned out; models sat in giant neon teacups pushed along by skeletons, whilst others strutted down the runway complete with a trail of helium balloons. The overwhelming message was FUN, with a nice nod of back to school as the collection came complete with customisable stickers. Our fave? The ‘Bags Have Feelings Too’ sticker was super cute!

Who made the FROW?  Susie Bubble, Poppy Delevingne and er,  Richard E Grant!

Ashish: Sequins, sequins and er, more sequins! We’ve come to expect this signature from Ashish and once again he did not disappoint for SS15. Rainbow hues were used throughout, whether that was on ripped baggy jeans, on a cute checkerboard mini dress or a good old fashion snakeskin co-ord. Fabulous fun as usual, with the disco vibe being firmly set by Ashish for Spring.

Who made the FROW? Ella Eyre and Rapper Eve.

H by Hakaan Yildirim: Founded in 2011, with a name change and new aesthetic to boast this season, H by Hakaan Yildirim gave us a collection focusing on the relationship with humans and nature. Giant bee motifs adorned jumpers, stunning hexagonal pleated pieces and sheer panelled dresses stormed the runway; it was a departure from previous collections with this season promoting a ‘less is more’ approach.

Who made the FROW? Olivia Cox and Tanya Burr

Behind The Scenes @ Lovebox

We sent our fab fashion correspondent Analise Trotter down to Lovebox last week to get all the behind the scenes goss from the London festival. Want to get the insider scoop? Then read on!

“Last week I was lucky enough to be asked by the lovely people down at Shopcade to go and report for them at Lovebox Festival in Victoria Park.

My first dilemma- what to wear obviously! Festivals are one of my favourite occasions to dress for, a place where you know anything goes and the more glitter on that lovely face of yours, THE BETTER!

Never one to complain about the sunshine, I embraced the amazing weather we had so much so that I even whacked my swimsuit on! I opted for this lovely cut out piece from Motel Rocks with a matching red daisy print Co-ords (I tied the shirt around my waist,as it was just TOO hot to rock the look together).

I teamed this up with some gorgeous Orelia gold bangles and hamsa hand necklace, layered a Mango gold necklace and Topshop choker over the top to create a stacked effect and added an Urban Outfitters arm bangle and some super cool Divine Ink London metallic tattoos for those extra festi-vibezzz.

We headed up to Victoria Park where the crowds were in full force already embracing the music and sunshine at 12pm. There were so many gorgeous girlies looking amazing, so street style snapping wasn’t hard! Some big trends of the summer seemed to be epic amounts of face glitter, graphic prints and colourful co-ords. Some of my favourite brands for these are Motel Rocks, Topshop and Miss Pap where you can snap up a two piece for less than your festival ticket price- always a winner!
