The baroque look is going nowhere right now. Around for two seasons and still going strong, as we head into festival territory, trophy jackets, embellishments and statement prints will be massive this summer!

Want to know how to rock baroque in style? Then read on to see how you can achieve this regal look with our guide on the hottest prints and accessories this season…

Pick your Prints

Baroque is all about opulence. Remember, baroque back in the day symbolised a “period of artistic style that began around 1600 in Rome & Italy”, so says our trusty friend, Wikipedia.

Updated for the 21st century, church prints still feature heavily, only now it’s intertwined with flashy chain, floral and animal prints as standard.

Pay Motel Rocks a visit to check out their selection of prints (a specialty of theirs, we’re sure you’ll agree) or Boohoo who really got behind baroque for AW13 & SS14 to produce an amazing collection.

Work the Clash

Don’t be afraid to mix up patterns, fabrics and colours to work this trend to the max. It’s fine to wear coordinates of the same print (some may so overkill, we’d say it’s fashion!) and equally it’s OK to mix and match where you see fit- either work for this season’s festival style.

Accessorise it Right

D&G knew exactly how to translate this look for the catwalk, when they sent their models down the runway in oversized gold hoops and floral garlands to accompany their stunning church prints.

Want to work this into your look for festival season? Then get on Crown and Glory or ASOS now and bag yourself a floral crown! For gold accessories, Topshop gets our vote every time.
