At only 27, Arielle Free already has a wealth of presenting experience. As a new addition to the 4Music family, Arielle is the content presenter on 4music and currently the voice of new series ‘Would You Rather….’.
Putting her love for fashion to good use, Arielle has also presented for MSN Lifestyle talking us through the hottest looks and reporting from the main fashion events throughout the year. Arielle’s first presenting job was for BBC Scotland when she was 16 for CBBC‘s UKOOL. The show was live every morning during the school summer holidays and Arielle was selected to be the UKOOL gang presenter.

Furthering her passion for music, Arielle presents her own show on Shoreditch Radio and both produces and presents a weekly New Music Podcast for online music bible ‘The 405′. It was this that lead to Arielle being invited to join Edith Bowman as a guest on her Radio 1 Review Show giving her views on the festivals that summer.

Arielle gained her first air miles on Fresh Air Radio in Edinburgh presenting shows for Edinburgh Fringe Festival on Fresh Air at the Fringe. She then went on to present for Roundhouse Radio and hosted the shows live from Roundhouse Rising Music Festival.

She has also recently featured in fashion magazines such as Look, Stylist, More and Spindle Magazine. Arielle can regularly be seen rocking the decks at fashion events, such as Vogue’s Fashion Night Out, for super brand Emporio Armani and now for Shopcade’s Style Battle Party this Thursday 5th June!

We spoke to her about her fashionable life and part on the Shopcade Style Council; find out what she had to say below..

Tell us about your part on the Shopcade Style Council?

I’ll be judging the participants entries and deciding who my favourite style battler is, as well as jumping on the decks to get everyone in the disco mood at the #StyleBattle party!

What, in your opinion, makes people’s style stand out against anyone else?

Individuality. London is just brimming with so many different styles and it’s amazing that we have such freedom to wear what we want without people judging! I mean I have seen some sights, but it always makes me smile!

What trends, if any are you loving this season?

I love the return of ripped jeans and boyfriend jeans. I’ve worn skinny jeans for at least a decade and my calves are celebrating a bit more room in baggy jeans ha ha! I love the Topshop Mom jeans as they’re high waisted so show off my little waist but big bum! They’re the most flattering jeans ever. Oh and the Asos Ridley ripped knee jeans are the best on the high street.

I’m also love the tropical co-ords that have cropped up for the summer, can’t wait to rock a few of them at the million festivals I’ll be running around covering!

Who are your fave designers?

Christopher Kane, Jonnathan Saunders (that has nothing to do with me being Scottish ha ha) and I love Marni for accessories.

Best high street brands?

ASOS, Topshop, Monki and Office for shoes.

Whose style do you admire?

I love Rooney Mara and Kristen Stewart. I love their girlie grunge looks, if anyone can pull off a dark cherry lipstick it’s Rooney.

Have you ever had a fashion faux pas?

I did that silly thing of buying an item in the sale that was a size too big, it was a bright pink jumper from Opening Ceremony and made me look like a big pink marshmallow…epic fail!

What’s your favourite piece in your wardrobe right now?

A sequin pineapple jumper from Topshop, it’s the epitome of summer and I love anything with sparkles!

What item could you not live without?

Shoes, shoes and more shoes! I need heels for when I’m on camera as I’m always shorter than the people I’m interviewing! I couldn’t live without a sparkly skyscraper skinny heeled stiletto or seventies platform.

What’s on your Spotify playlist right now?

I’m all over the new Paolo Nutini album, plus the new track from Dark Horses “Live on Hunger” is the most amazing track. Also Bombay Bicycle Club, Jungle “Busy Earnin” and maybe a throw in Little Mix…I have eclectic taste!

Who is the most famous person on your twitter/Instagram/in your phone book?

That would be telling…!

What’s your most memorable Fashion WOW moment?

When I wore Christopher Kane to the Scottish Fashion Awards, he (Christopher) ran up to me at the ceremony and shouted that he loved my skirt! (Which he had designed ha ha) and the rest of the night we chatted away!

Love Arielle’s style? (and who wouldn’t?!) Then get her look here!
