What’s not to like about Anita Anti? A fashion photographer and blogger from Ukraine, Anita  managed to combine quirky, pop-inspired looks with the gothic charm of Tim Burton! We chatted with her about photography, crazy fans, and – you guessed it – fashion!

Hi Anita! You can definitely consider us your fans, we love your photos! What is the concept behind your blog? And how did you get started?

Hello! I just want to share my art, my pictures, and things that I like.

Photography seems to be an important part of your life. How do you come up with the concepts for your shoots?

I’m a professional photographer and photo artist. It’s all about my imagination and my desire to create something beautiful. And it’s important that all the elements of the idea are interrelated.

What kind of photography tips would you like to give to all the fashion bloggers who are out there?

Get a fine camera and learn how to use it.

Aliens invade the planet and you need to convince them to spare your blog. What do you say to them?

I’d ask them to keep it as a place where you can see a small piece of art.

What’s the funniest or weirdest email or comment you have received from a fan?

A suggestion to be my slave! :)

Haha, that’s a little bit awkward! Let’s talk about fashion now… how do you describe your personal style?

It’s hard to say. Sometimes it is Rock ’n’ Roll and dark but girly, sometimes it’s a little childish and dreamy. But I always try to look bright and extraordinary.

What’s the one thing that you wouldn’t want to be seen wearing?

Of what I actually wear? Hmm… I would say a bad hairstyle. :)

What kind of combinations make you cringe when you see them?

When I see a mix of different colours that don’t match.

Where do you get fashion inspiration from? Are there any particular sites or magazines that you read?

I get my inspiration from things I love like Rock ’n’ Roll and fairy tales, favourite artists and musicians, and from some street fashion sites like LOOKBOOK.

If you could press a button and control everyone’s taste, what would you make people wear?

I’d rather not press such a button, because everybody would be the same. Having different tastes is what makes us special. It is great that someone’s taste differs from you, that gives you an opportunity to express yourself and be original.

What’s the one thing that you are waiting patiently from a fashion designer to come up with?

I’m not into fashion designers. I prefer to create my style on my own. I like handmade items and being inspired by artists and people I see on the street.
