We spent last week in the Windy City – Chicago, IL! On Wednesday night, we introduced Shopcade’s new “Looks” feature to local Chicago fashion bloggers and influencers with an intimate dinner in the city’s River North neighborhood. We asked guests to wear their finest dinner party attire for a chance to win “Best Dressed” of the night. Can’t think of a better way to celebrate the new community-driven feature than food, fashion, and FUN!
US Communications Manager, Monica Dimperio, wearing mixed prints, greets stylish guests DJ Matt Roan, James Goeke, and Elise Schmitt.
The back booth at Bottlefork, Chicago’s newest dining hotspot, was our nook for the evening. Wine and cocktails were flowing while we played with Shopcade’s new “Looks” feature on our smartphones, uploading our own dinner party looks with hashtag #IWANTITALL. One way ticket to Selfieville!
In between noshing – everything from Scotch eggs to salmon – and chatting guests picked up their phones to check out other people’s looks and do a little shopping. Who’s guilty? :::Raises hand:::
Makeup Artist/Beauty Blogger, Shannon O’Brien from Cheap Frills and Thrills reminds us that a pencil skirt isn’t just for the office. Pair with a sleek black tank and ankle strap pumps and you have your new office-to-cocktails go-to outfit.
It’s literally one week later and we’re still thinking about the rib tips. If you’re ever in Chicago, they are a MUST HAVE.
Best Dressed: The lucky winners for the night were man-about-town, Ryan Beshel and stylist, Jessica Moazami. His cummerbund and her full-length leather gloves prove that you really can never be overdressed. No such thing in our book!
Everyone received a custom phone case with the hashtag #IWANTITALL from Uncommon. Don’t know about you but, when we’re Shopcading (yes, we made that up) that’s all we’re saying – I WANT IT ALL!!!!
Chic Chicagoan, Diana Tran, had us seeing spots all night. Time to break out the polka dots, girls! Spring has sprung.
Jourdan Fairchild, Daily Candy’s Chicago editor, shared her fave NYC and Brooklyn haunts with the group. The former New Yorker knows what’s up and we’re so happy she was willing to share.
A big cheers to Shopcade’s new “Looks” feature and all of our new friends in the Midwest.
